Spaceship Earth at Epcot Relaunching in February 18, 2008
After getting more than a facelift on the exterior, Spaceship Earth will relaunch Feb, 18, 2008. Presented by Siemens. Spaceship Earth has been in rehab since May 2007. On Dec. 24, 2007, the barricades came down to give guests a sneak preview of most of the changes.
Guests will be treated to four new scenes, new set decorations, new costumes, and new special effects. Including the re-themed interactive post-show.
~ Bruce Broughton, Emmy Award winning composer, has prepared a new musical score for Spaceship Earth. Leading a 63 piece orchestra and 24 member choir, the new soundtrack features music and instruments suitable for the time period in each section of the revamped attraction.
~ Dame Judy Dench, Academy Award winning actress, provides the new narration. Dame Judi Dench won an Oscar as best supporting actress in 1999 for her role in "Shakespeare in Love."
