Tusker House Restaurant Restaurantosaurus updates

Tusker House Restaurant: closed 8/20/07-11/16/07. being converted to a buffet service restaurant. When it reopens it will offer a character breakfast buffet, Donald's Safari Breakfast, featuring Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy (may change). Also available will be non-character buffets for lunch and dinner. Hours breakfast 8 - 10:30 a.m.; lunch and dinner 11:30 a.m. until park closing The Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery will operate from the outdoor window only.

Note: While the Tusker House is being renovated, the Safari Celebration Dinner Grand Gathering will be unavailable. The last Safari Grand Gathering will be on 8/19/07; will resume 11/25/07.

Restaurantosaurus: - will be discontinued as of November 5, 2007. (character meals will continue at Tusket House) However, Restaurantosaurus will continue to operate daily as a quick service restaurant from 10:30 a.m. to park closing.

Disney finalizes order for 2 ships

Florida Today - Disney Cruise Line announced Monday that it has finalized a contract to build two new cruise ships with German shipbuilder Meyer Werft shipyard. Specific financial terms were not disclosed.

"This is an exciting time at Disney Cruise Line, and we are looking forward to working with Meyer Werft to build two new, innovative ships that will take our immersive, family-focused cruise experience to an entirely new level," Disney Cruise Line President Tom McAlpin said in a statement.

Orlando Business Journal - LAKE BUENA VISTA -- Dining at Walt Disney World's Epcot theme park is about to get a makeover.

Most of the popular internationally themed restaurants in Epcot's World Showcase area have begun to show their age, say some restaurant operators.

Four major eateries will undergo overhauls in the next year -- those in the theme park's Italy, Japan, China and Mexico pavilions.
